A Statement from the Directors of Henderson Grass Machinery Ltd

30th September 2026 marked the last day of trading for Henderson Grass Machinery Ltd before Hamilton Ross Group acquired the company on 1st October 2026. We are happy to announce that all staff are being retained and our site on Bypass Road, Haddington will continue to be a hub for the agricultural and horticultural industry.

 

Established in 1884, Henderson Grass Machinery, or Geo Henderson Ltd as it was known before 2001, has been a stalwart in our industry for over 140 years. We are proud of our heritage and that the company has remained in our family all these years. One of the reasons this has been possible is due to the loyalty and hard work from our staff, past and present, without them this wouldn't have been possible. Therefore we would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every member of staff we've had the pleasure of working with over the years, your loyalty and dedication is deeply appreciated by us.

 

We would also like to wish Hamilton Ross Group success for their future and their expansion into the Lothians and Borders.

 

Behind the scenes Henderson Grass Machinery Ltd will get wound down, so keep a look out on our Facebook page and eBay shop for some bargains! But it's now time for us to settle into retirement. Not an easy transition at first we'll admit, but now is the right time.
